Noi 4 – Italian for “the four of us” – is made from four grape varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc) and was conceived by a team of four. The winery also likes the idea of a bottle shared among four people.
It is a Tuscan red with an elegant, well‑balanced profile – modern, yet respectful of tradition. Perfect if you are looking for something mature and complex.
This blend was born from a desire to explore new terroirs and is refined in barrels for 9 months. The wine has a bold personality and strong presence, with clearly defined flavors, aromas and textures. It shows a very elegant nose, fresh fruit, balanced acidity, good length and an interesting minerality. On the palate, the tannins are very soft and round.
The winery is a boutique estate. The vineyards lie at about 400 meters above sea level, above the Bolgheri area, in a mild, temperate environment. The soils are rich in alluvial deposits, sand and clay, combined with constant ventilation and significant temperature differences between day and night, allowing the grapes to reach optimal ripeness with ease.
The winemaker, Elena Pozzolini, is a talented and innovative figure in the world of traditionally made wine. In a conservative context of classic estates, she is a real asset, bringing innovation to wineries that often change slowly out of respect for long‑standing traditions.
Her impressive experience includes work in Mendoza in Argentina, the Mornington Peninsula in Australia, the Santa Ynez Valley in California and Tuscany. All of this is expressed in her wonderful work with Malbec in Tuscany (a grape that began in France and became Argentina’s national variety), as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
She channels this experience into outstanding wines. The estate is a true boutique winery, producing limited quantities and only four labels – three of which were selected because there was an immediate connection and real affection for them.
For a long time there was a search for a special winery from the Bolgheri area. There were journeys, tastings, checks and meetings, and finally the choice was Tenuta dei Sette Cieli, a winery that stands above the rest in both quality and uniqueness.
Other wines from Tenuta dei Sette Cieli:
-
Yantra – Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
-
Indaco – Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
