Yantra is a classic Bordeaux-style blend from the Bolgheri area, a vibrant wine made from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is characterized by fresh, persistent red fruit, and a straightforward, harmonious character that offers pure drinking pleasure.

This is a modern, elegant Super Tuscan, produced above the Bolgheri zone – one of Tuscany’s most prestigious and established wine areas. Its unique position gives the wine a natural advantage: soils and climate that deliver juicy grapes, rich structure and a beautiful balance between acidity and tannins.

The color is deep ruby with violet highlights, and the nose combines ripe red and black fruits with hints of Mediterranean herbs and gentle spice. Yantra is a refined, leading wine in the range, ideal for a quality table – from traditional pasta dishes to meat courses.

“Yantra” is a Sanskrit word (an ancient Indian language) for mystical geometric symbols. This simple diagram carries a deep, inspiring meaning that reflects the wine itself – seemingly simple in style, yet highly complex in character.

The winery is a boutique estate. The vineyards lie at about 400 meters above Bolgheri, in a mild, temperate environment. The soils are rich in alluvial deposits, sand and clay, with constant ventilation and significant temperature differences between day and night, allowing the grapes to reach optimal ripeness with ease.

The winemaker, Elena Pozzolini, is a talented and innovative figure in the world of traditionally made wine. In a conservative environment of historic estates, she brings fresh thinking to wineries that often change slowly out of respect for long‑standing tradition.

Her impressive experience includes work in Mendoza in Argentina, the Mornington Peninsula in Australia, the Santa Ynez Valley in California, and Tuscany. All of these come together in her outstanding work with Malbec in Tuscany (a variety that began in France and became Argentina’s national grape), as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.

She channels this experience into remarkable wines. The estate is a true boutique winery, producing limited quantities and only four labels – three of which were chosen because there was an immediate connection and genuine love for them.

For a long time there was a search for a special winery from the Bolgheri area. There were many trips, tastings, and visits, and in the end the choice was Tenuta dei Sette Cieli – a winery that rises above the rest in both quality and uniqueness.
