Pinot Noir Ludwig
Pinot Nero “Ludwig” is made from grapes carefully selected from steep vineyards in the Alto Adige mountains at various altitudes between 450 – 600 meters. The low production of 12,000 bottles per year guarantees concentration and quality at the highest level.
Aging in French oak barrels for about 10 months gives the wine depth and complexity, without losing the clean and precise character of the variety.
The 2023 vintage in Alto Adige was characterized by optimal ripeness conditions, with balanced acidity and clean and clear fruit, which gave “Ludwig” a dynamic, clear and precise character.
The wine regularly wins awards and recognition in Pinot Nero competitions in Italy and around the world, thanks to its depth, finesse and elegance. It presents aromas of cherries and red currants, elegant and impressively long in the mouth, with great aging potential.
A new and advanced fermentation winery was built at the winery where the grapes move using a gravity system and dedicated tanks on a rail instead of aggressive pumps, a technology considered one of the most advanced in Italy for the production of top red wines, which preserves the integrity and quality of the grape and allows the production of a precise, elegant and particularly complex Pinot Nero.
Aging potential 8-15 years
