Description

Indaco – Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
Dry red wine Vintage 2023

Indaco tells a uniquely Tuscan story: a rare planting of Malbec, grown above the Bolgheri area – one of Tuscany’s most prestigious zones – gives the wine unusually rich fruit, depth and complexity, unlike most other Tuscan reds. The combination of soil, altitude and climate creates a balance of modern elegance with classic Tuscan warmth.

On the nose, Indaco offers ripe red and black fruits with subtle notes of spice and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is full, layered and impressive, with a long, vibrant and inviting finish.

Indaco is a refined, characterful wine that invites wine lovers to experience the charm of a modern Super Tuscan and discover the special potential of Malbec in Tuscany.

The vineyards lie at about 400 meters above sea level, above the Bolgheri area, in a mild, temperate environment. The soils are rich in alluvial deposits, sand and clay, combined with constant ventilation andsignificant temperature differences between day and night, allowing the grapes to reach optimal ripeness with ease.

The winemaker, Elena Pozzolini, is a talented and innovative voice in the world of traditionally made wine. In a conservative environment of long‑established estates, she brings fresh thinking and a forward‑looking approach. Her experience spans Mendoza in Argentina, the Mornington Peninsula in Australia, the Santa Ynez Valley in California and Tuscany – all of which come through in her skilled work with Malbec in Tuscany (originally a French grape that has become Argentina’s emblematic variety), as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.

This experience is expressed in remarkable wines. The estate is a boutique winery with limited production, making only four labels – of which three were carefully chosen by us and truly loved.

For a long time there was a search for a special estate from the Bolgheri area. After travelling, tasting, visiting and comparing, the choice fell on Tenuta dei Sette Cieli, a winery that stands out both for quality and for its distinctive character.

Other wines from Tenuta dei Sette Cieli:

  • Noi 4 Bolgheri – Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc

  • Yantra – Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
